Midtown Landing: From Concept to Construction
The Challenge: Situated on an old airstrip in Fayetteville, the developer's vision for a unique residential community centered on pedestrian-friendly parking courts had hit a wall. The developer approached us when their previous draftsman was unable to capture the specific architectural aesthetic the project demanded. Compounded by critical footprint and site-alignment issues that had stalled progress, the project needed an immediate injection of design clarity and technical rigor to move forward.
The Solution: Locus Design stepped in to provide the necessary technical rigor and strategic direction. By sketching directly over the existing Building Information Modeling (BIM) data, we quickly resolved the spatial conflicts while honoring the developer’s original intent. Beyond the architecture, we took over as the strategic lead for city planning compliance, guiding the complex development through the rigorous municipal permitting process and departmental approvals.
The Outcome: We successfully transitioned the project from a conceptual roadblock into a fully buildable development. With all city approvals secured and the site perfectly aligned, construction is now actively underway across the entire property.
